The Principals

Glen Biely has spent 30 years in the greeting card, stationery, and gift industry. Throughout that time, Glen has held numerous industry leadership positions including serving as a Board Member of the Greeting Card Association, Chair of the 2017 GCA Annual Convention, Co-Chair of the 2016 GCA Annual Convention, and Advisory Board member of the NY Now Gift Show, the National Stationery Show, and Stationery Trends magazine. Companies he has overseen have won two Greeting Card of the Year Awards, 24 Louie Awards (the “Oscars” of the greeting card industry), and 60 Louie nominations. Glen attended the University of Washington, earning a BA in Business Administration, an MBA with a marketing emphasis, and post-baccalaureate BA in English. As a child, Glen was an avid collector of football, basketball, and baseball cards, so it’s no surprise he’s still surrounded by cards on a daily basis. Outside of work, Glen enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and cheering on the UW Huskies.
Tom Shoaf has spent the majority of his career in executive and business development positions for consumer products companies, most notably in the greeting card, stationery and gift, travel, and home décor categories. Tom currently serves as chair of the Public Affairs Committee for the Greeting Card Association, which works to preserve effective, independent regulation of the USPS, promotes greeting cards to the USPS and key stakeholders, and monitors legislative and executive actions to keep GCA members informed of potential benefits, challenges, and opportunities within the industry. Throughout his career, Tom has overseen large-scale programs in leading national retailers, led sales organizations focusing on independent retailers, and collaborated with designers and buyers on private-label programs. Tom attended the University of Washington where he studied political science and rooted on all things purple and gold.
