Alexandra Snowdon spent the first 20 years of her creative life working as a graphic designer in the North of England. Her love of words and art had pulled her towards a career in making words look beautiful on a page.
Eventually however, she felt the need to create more with her hands. After taking a year off to travel the world, she went back to art school where she re-kindled her hand lettering skills and discovered her love of printmaking.
She now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, working as a self-employed hand lettering artist, illustrator, and printmaker. She makes her own cards and prints and works on all sorts of commissions from book jackets to wine labels. She loves mixing her traditional and digital skills to create art full of texture with a hand crafted, human touch.
